172 Nigerians, including 5 women,1 pregnant and a 12-year-old boy, were repatriated from Libya on Friday, March 11. The repatriation was done with the help of International Organization for Migration (IOM) in close cooperation with Libyan authorities and Nigerian's Embassy in Tripoli.
The South-West Zonal Coordinator, Alhaji Abdullahi Suleiman Yakubu with NEMA officials received the returnees. According to the post shared by NEMA SOUTH WEST yesterday, March 21:
"The International Organisation for Migration (IOM) in Libya and Nigeria assisted the stranded and imprisoned youths back to Nigeria, because most of them had unpalatable experiences in the futile efforts to reach Europe, some were said to have gone through in-humane treatments and deprivations in Sahara desert and transit countries".

Mrs Aisha Buhari unveiled the Nigeria Rebirth Art Project on Thursday, March 17. The project is aimed at making Nigeria great. The wife of the President, who is the Grand Patron of the rebirth was represented by Mrs Dolapo Osinbajo, wife of the Vice President. In attendance were daughters of the president, wife of Edo State Governor, Mrs Lara Oshiomhole, and other dignitaries.

Mrs Buhari, in her address said that the need for the National Rebirth had become necessary as the country was being faced with some challenges.
"The new Nigerian will make the country great as well as bring hope and prosperity to the country as a whole and to Africa in general. It will bring joy to us and generation after generation. Indeed, we will not rest until every Nigerian can enjoy equal opportunities to their dreams, pursue and achieve greatness in various field of their endeavours as people. The project will remind us that there is a drop and depth of greatness in every Nigerian. We are not yet there until all hands are on deck, we will achieve the desired change we all desire," she said.
